    FSPA's Promotional Initiatives

    The Financial Services Promotion Agency (FSPA) will lead the following initiatives to showcase the Mauritius IFC as a premier financial centre and as a platform for structuring cross border investments in key markets. We would be most grateful if you could communicate the information below to your respective members.

     

    The Mauritius IFC Promoted in the UK (2th – 6th May 2017)

    The FSPA will lead a promotional mission for the Mauritius IFC in the UK from 2nd of May 2017 to the 6th of May 2017 and will capitalise on opportunities arising post the triggering of BREXIT.

    The mission comprises:

    • Participation at the Africa Financial Services Investment Conference (AFSIC), one of the leading investment events for Africa’s financial services sector, which will be held from the 3rd to the 5th May 2017at Park Plaza Riverbank, London. The FSPA will host a ‘Mauritius IFC’ branded exhibition stand and a dedicated presentation on Mauritius IFC during this conference. A panel discussion will also follow the FSPA’s presentation;
    • Closed door working session with Fintech Companies on the 2nd of May 2017; and
    • Business Meet on Mauritius as a platform for structuring cross border investments and an IFC of Choice, on Friday 5th of May 2017 targeting around 100 key firms in the City of London.

    Roadshow in Cape Town, Johannesburg & Gaborone (8th – 13th May 2017)

    The FSPA and the Board of Investment (BOI) will be conducting a roadshow in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Gaborone from the 8th of May 2017 to the 13th of May 2017, to showcase Mauritius as an investment destination and a financial platform for intra-African investments.

    The Roadshow comprises:

    • Business Forum, targeting around 150 participants, which will be organised by the FSPA and the BOI on the 8th of May 2017 in Cape Town;
    • Business Forum, targeting around 150 participants, which will be organised by the FSPA and the BOI on the 11th of May 2017 in Johannesburg; and
    • Business Forum, targeting around 100 participants, which will be organised by the FSPA and the BOI on the 12th of May 2017 in Gaborone, Botswana.

    The Mauritius IFC Promoted in Mumbai, New Delhi and Ahmedabad (18th – 24th May 2017)

    The FSPA will coordinate a promotional mission for the Mauritius IFC to Mumbai, New Delhi and Ahmedabad in India. The mission will span over 5 days from the 18th of May 2017 to the 24th of May 2017.

    The mission comprises:

    • Business Forums in Mumbai and New Delhi, targeting around 150 delegates; and
    • Participation at the African Banker Awards 2017 in Ahmedabad, which is a landmark annual event for the African finance world, which will be held on the 24th of May 2017. The FSPA is negotiating for a dedicated session on ‘Mauritius: An IFC of Choice for Africa’ during this event.

    The Mauritius IFC Promoted in Ghana and Kenya (19th – 23rd June 2017)

    The FSPA will lead a promotional mission to Kenya and Ghana for an increased visibility of Mauritius as an IFC of excellence for intra-African investments. This mission will span over 5 days from the 19th of June 2017 to the 23rd of June 2017.

    The mission will comprise of:

    • Dedicated Business Forums to enhance the visibility of Mauritius as an IFC in Nairobi and Accra.
