    • Vistra Alternative Investments (Mauritius) Limited represented by Mr Shahed Hoolash

      President

      Shahed joined Vistra in Mauritius as the Head of Corporate Services and currently is the Managing Director of the Mauritius business.

      Shahed began his career in De Chazal Du Mee, representatives of Arthur Andersen in Mauritius, as accountant in 1998 where he spent 4 years. After a brief stint in Corporate Finance, Shahed moved to International Financial Services in Mauritius as executive for 4 years after which he joined Corporate Services Deutsche Bank in Mauritius in 2007 as the Head of Transaction Management and became the Head of the Corporate Services business in 2013. Shahed joined Vistra as part of the acquisition of the global Corporate Services of Deutsche Bank by Vistra in May 2018.

      Shahed as a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts and a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors.

      Shahed speaks English and French.

      Shahed is the Vice President of the Association of Trust and Management Company.

    • Apex Fund Services (Mauritius) Ltd represented by Mr Mahesh Doorgakant

      Maheshwar Doorgakant is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He is the Managing Director of Apex Fund Services (Mauritius) Ltd (“Apex Mauritius”), which forms part of the Apex Group (www.apexfundservices.com) which has offices in various jurisdictions including New York, London, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Ireland.

      Mahesh holds a number of directorships on the Boards of numerous India and Africa focused funds and companies through which he has acquired extensive experience and knowledge on key industries in India and its principal capital markets as well as Africa.

      Mahesh has previously served as president of the executive committee of the Association of Trust and Management Companies of Mauritius and is the vice-president of the Mauritius Society of Chartered Accountants. Prior to joining Apex Mauritius, he was the Group Financial Controller of a major listed group in Mauritius. He had also previously managed another Mauritian Management Company specialising in the management and administration of Global Business Companies.

      Madvi Jeebun is Head of Compliance and Technical at DTOS Group, a leading management company operating in the Mauritian global business sector for the last 23 years and licensed by the Financial Services Commission.  DTOS is a subsidiary of IBL Ltd.

      Madvi is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). She holds an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation Level 1 from The Chartered Institute of Taxation and a BSc. (Hons) in Accounting from the University of Mauritius.  She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and also a member of the International Fiscal Association (Mauritius) and of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants.

      Madvi has 20 years of experience in the professional accounting, taxation, compliance, governance and audit in the Mauritius financial services sector.  She also has valuable experience as Compliance Manager for several companies within the IBL Group.  Prior to joining DTOS Group, Madvi was with Kemp Chatteris Deloitte and Touche and has held senior positions within the offshore and audit department.

      Gordon is the Managing Director of the Accuro Mauritius office with overall responsibility for the Mauritian operations, in particular, the implementation of the strategy, the oversight of key client relationships, and driving business development initiatives into the African market. Gordon has 19 years’ experience in the private client and trust industry in South Africa with extensive knowledge and experience in South African exchange controls, tax, trusts and wills. Prior to joining Accuro, he was the Group Chief Operating Officer for Sentinel International Advisory Services, a South African fiduciary services company. Gordon is a regular guest on various Business Day television shows and also regularly delivers public talks on all aspects pertaining to trusts, tax and other estate planning topics. Gordon holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Law, a Certificate in Advanced Trust Law, an Honours Degree in Tax Law, a Master’s Degree in Finance and Estate Planning and a Master’s Degree in Tax Law (LLM). He is a full member of the International Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a member of the Fiduciary Institute of South Africa (FPSA) with the following recognised specialities; Senior Estate and Financial Practitioner, Senior Trust Administrator and Senior Wills Drafter.

       

    • Loita Management Services represented by Ms Kim Elizabeth Gueho

      Kim Guého joined the Loita Group in 2001 to assist with the set-up of the Mauritius office.  Kim is Head of Corporate Affairs for the Loita Group which has been operating for over 27 years servicing the financial services and Fintech sectors out of 16 country offices in Africa.  General Manager of Loita Management Services and a Director on the Loita Holding Companies and its subsidiaries, Kim holds a number of Directorships on diverse companies with operations in Europe, Asia and Africa.

       

      Kim has special expertise in the oversight of bank and financial institution Fintech processes and is actively engaged in structuring client business operations.  She is a Fellow Member of the International Compliance Association, UK; a Fellow of the Mauritius Institution of Directors and an Associate member of the Institute of Directors, UK.

       

      Born in South Africa and educated in South Africa and Switzerland, Kim has extensive project management experience in USA, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Belgrade prior to joining Loita. She speaks fluent English, French and German.

      Rajan is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the UK and a Member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants. He joined Trident Trust in 2005, working in our Mauritius office where he headed its new business department and oversaw its fund administration operations.

      In early 2018 he relocated to Dubai to lead the set-up of our UAE fund services business in the Dubai International Financial Centre. After successfully completing the launch of the business, he returned to Mauritius during the second half of 2019.

      Rajan holds a BSc. (Hons) in Accounting from the University of Mauritius and speaks English, French, Urdu and Hindi. He has served as a Director on the board of some of the largest Africa development funds and funds investing in India.

    • MAURITIUS INTERNATIONAL TRUST COMPANY LIMITED (MITCO) REPRESENTED BY MRS. POONAM KEENOO-SEEGOOLAM

      Poonam is the Head of Operations of MITCO. She was previously a Manager at Halifax Management Limited, which has merged with MITCO in 2011. She brings to the Group more than 19 years of extensive experience in the legal, corporate services and fund businesses and holds directorships in companies including funds incorporated in Mauritius.

      She started her career as a Junior Legal executive with International Financial Services Limited. She subsequently joined Rogers and Company Limited, one of the largest conglomerates in Mauritius as Assistant Company Secretary and was later appointed as Company Secretary of the companies of the Rogers Group.

      Poonam holds a BA Honours in Law and Management from the University of Mauritius and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration (ICSA) since 2005.
